Last season we had 45 young women competing on 4 teams. These girls come from all 5 county high schools, various county private schools and schools from Hartford County (MD) and New Castle County (DE).

The Cecil Volleyball Club competes within the Juniors Division of Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association which covers Maryland, Delaware and N. Virginia. Single and multi-day tournament competitions are held throughout the Region from January through May on most weekends. The coaches will select tournaments to enter based on availability and player's schedules. Acceptance into tournaments is controlled by the CHRVA through it's age group coordinators and selection criteria.

Teams have the options of participating in larger Inter-Regional and National level tournaments. These costs are not included in the Base Fee charged by the club and must be selected at the first practice of the season. In most years, the majority of our teams have selected to compete in the East Coast Championships at Penn State University over Memorial Day weekend. This is a three day tournament requiring overnight stays on the campus in State College, PA.

While many of our teams have successfully competed within the Region our focus is on competing and not on winning. Our goal is have the players embrace competition as a positive value and winning as a consequence of hard work and dedication.
